This is a space I am very excited about. I hope to share some wonderful projects and products here with you.
One little project I have recently completed was in collaboration with a wonderful and iconic South Australian Potter whom I commissioned to produce these gorgeous traditional Shafi, coffee cups.
Bennetts Magill Pottery is a privately owned family company established in 1887 by Charles William Bennett. The factory is located in Magill, South Australia and is currently run by fifth generation John Bennett.
John and his amazing team agreed to work with me to replicate the shafi coffee cups that I remember my grandmother having in her home. They are earthy, rustic and true to my heritage. Also, they represent a little of who I am.
These little Arabic coffee cups are made from 100% South Australian Stoneware Clay sourced from the Golden Grove Quarry. Each cup is individually handcrafted, so that each is an absolute and unique piece of art.
They are used to drink the cardamom flavoured dark roast arabica coffee brew, and of course are versatile enough to use for a charming espresso and tea.
They are for sale at $15.00 each plus postage.
The colours available are a sandy white or rustic earthy brown with sandy blue tones.
This style of coffee cup is designed to hold approximately 80ml of liquid and is microwave and dishwasher safe.
